With a background in corporate governance, legal drafting and company secretarial functions; Valentine joined MIH in 2021 as the Executive Personal Assistant to the Group’s Executive Chairperson. She has since assumed the roles of Energy Compliance Analyst in 2023, and successively in 2024, is now the Group’s Compliance Officer.

She has an Honours Degree in Public Management, a Diploma in Local Government Studies from the University of Namibia and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Import, Export and Logistics Management from the University of Cape Town. She is now currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, with a focus in Energy at the Namibia University of Science and Technology.

She describes herself as a lifelong academic and bookworm; who is audacious, ambitious and formidable. As a young black woman in a male-dominated industry, she continues to diligently work towards to building competence and adding value throughout her career.
